Strong people have meat on their bones

We live in a youth worshipping society. Unfortunately.
As we age, humans tend to put on a little fat. Well, guess what? There is something to be said for that protective layer - particularly in our later years.
From a fundamental frailty standpoint, you want some meat on your bones to protect you. Ideally, some of that will be MUSCLE-MASS to give you better balance, and strength. A bit of meat on your bones (some stored fat) is what will allow you to go up stairs, carry your laundry, do your shopping independently in later years. If you want to be as INDEPENDENT as possible as you get older now is the time to start laying the foundations.
Don't be afraid to shun the youth obsessed mania of what your body ought to look like [skinny].
Allow yourself your healthy buffer.
Strong people have meat on their bones.
